Teradata & SQL Analyst

We are looking for a skilled Teradata  /SQL Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in writing complex SQL queries, optimizing database performance, and working with large datasets in a Teradata environment. This role focuses on BI reporting, compliance, and SQL query optimization in a Teradata environment. The ideal candidate has expertise in data analytics, regulatory reporting, and financial data governance. Prior financial services experience is advantageous

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries in Teradata.

Performance tuning of SQL queries and database optimization.

Build and maintain views, stored procedures, macros, and user-defined functions (UDFs) in Teradata.

Design and implement data models, indexes, and partitions to enhance query performance.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design BI reports and dashboards using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or MicroStrategy.

We’re looking to speak to Teradata contractors with a proven track record as a contractor in a client facing capacity, expert in writing, debugging, and optimizing SQL queries and stored procedures. The successful candidate will have strong experience in performance tuning and working with large-scale databases.

Knowledge of ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, or DataStage) and scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python) and BI /Reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy) is required. An understanding of data warehousing concepts, normalization, and star/snowflake schema would be advantageous as would Teradata certification.

Please note this is a contract role, base in Ireland with a requirement for an on-site presence. Candidates need to be able to work in Ireland immediately without sponsorship. We will not be able to progress applications not meeting these requirements.
