Azure Data Analyst – Contract

We are looking for a highly skilled Azure Data Analyst with strong SQL and Azure experience. The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years and be comfortable operating in a client facing consultancy capacity. The ideal candidate with be a Data Analyst / Data Engineer with experience in Azure and Azure Data Factory and a strong background in integrating data and managing data sets in an Azure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Help design and implement scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF), including mapping data flows and parameterized pipelines.
• Leverage ADF toolset to monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise performance
• Ensure data consistency, quality and integrity across all systems and ETL activities
• Work in coloration with other teams to understand business needs and optimise the solution to match those needs.
• Contribute to data governance, security, and compliance as requested, at all times bearing security in mind when developing new components to the system

Requirements:

• ADF Expertise. Proficient in building pipelines, triggers, and mapping dataflows. Experience with parameterisation, error handling, and pipeline orchestration
• Data Modelling. Understanding of conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
• SQL & Scripting. Strong SQL skills for data extraction and transformation
• Documentation & Collaboration. Ability to document data flows, transformation logic, and integration patterns. Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Azure Certification is highly desirable.
• Excellent  communication and problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment of both vendor and client resources

We’re looking to speak to Data Engineers / Analysts with strong client facing experience, excellent ADF, Azure, ETL and SQL experience. A background or a good understanding of RDBMS, ETL and SQL Server with strong development skills in all areas. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivery as an Analyst with the ability to analyse, research and understand retention including quantitative and qualitative data. S/He will have excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
