Junior Helpdesk / Break Fix Engineer

We have an excellent opportunity for a candidate early in their career to join our client’s Helpdesk team. The Ideal candidate will be have a formal IT / Networking certification and strong understanding of Windows, Networking and Hardware.

The successful candidate will be tasked with a wide range of activities from configuring laptops and PCs and deploying them on end customer sites, Break/Fix Support and Troubleshooting. User Support on the phone as well as managing and tracking Assets. S/He will hold a full Irish /EU driving licence and have access to their own car.

The ideal candidate with have strong Windows 10/11 desktop skills and have at least 6 months commercial experience of Office 365 / Exchange 365 / Exchange Online and be very comfortable installing and upgrading laptop and desktop machines

Device compliance and patching

Experience with Microsoft Defender and Security

At least 6 months working with Azure AD – particular emphasis on managing user profiles, Exchange Online

Experience working in a hybrid AD/Azure AD environment would be an advantage

Strong skills in the O365 suite – with particular emphasis on Outlook/Word/Excel and PowerPoint. Experience supporting MS Teams would be an advantage

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide Customer Support in person and on the phone as requested
• Schedule appointments  with clients for the repair of damaged or the installation of new desktops and laptops across multiple client sites.
• Coordinate daily schedules and status updates to field engineers and technicians.
• Maintain accurate records of Client Visits, Service Logs and Requests.
• Track and expedite device deliveries
• Respond promptly to queries from both internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist with reporting and documentation as needed.

Please note Candidates must have a Full Irish Driving Licence and have access to their own car/transport. This is an entry level role, our clients will support the successful candidate to get Microsoft certification, the salary on offer is commensurate with he target profile.
