Contract Systems Administrator

We have an immediate requirement for a Contract Systems Administrator for a 6 months contract designing, building, supporting, and maintaining secure, high-quality infrastructure solutions, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft technologies. This teams leads the delivery of security-driven infrastructure projects and architectural changes that strengthen the organisation’s overall security posture.

Key responsibilities include leading cybersecurity infrastructure initiatives within a critical 24/7 operational environment, implementing best-practice designs for scalability, resilience, and security, and managing vulnerability remediation and security patching. The role also supports audit readiness through high-quality documentation, ensures system health through regular administration tasks, and continuously improves team processes and operational efficiency.

Candidates should bring over five years of senior-level experience in Microsoft technologies within a large enterprise environment. Strong technical expertise is required in Windows Server (2019/2022/2025), Active Directory, Group Policy, networking concepts, and backup solutions. Candidates mush have an MCSA, MCP, or CCNA.

Additional desirable skills include experience with VMware, storage technologies, Linux environments, and automation tools such as Python, Ansible, and REST APIs. Success in this role requires excellent analytical, communication, organisational, and documentation abilities, alongside experience working within structured process frameworks such as ITIL. Overall, the position is ideal for a highly skilled infrastructure professional with a security-first mindset and a commitment to operational excellence.
