Senior NetApp Storage Engineer – Contract

We are seeking an experienced Senior NetApp Storage Engineer to manage and support enterprise storage environments. The role requires strong expertise in NetApp ONTAP platforms, SAN/NAS technologies, storage provisioning, performance optimization, backup, and disaster recovery solutions. The successful candidate will support highly available infrastructure platforms across production and DR environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, and support NetApp ONTAP storage platforms including FAS9000, FAS9500, FAS8300, and FAS8080 systems.
• Manage storage components including SVMs, aggregates, FlexVols, LUNs, qtrees, CIFS/SMB, NFS, and iSCSI services.
• Perform storage provisioning, capacity planning, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Administer SAN environments including Fibre Channel zoning, LUN masking, multipathing, and Cisco SAN fabrics.
• Implement and maintain data protection solutions using SnapMirror, SnapVault, SVM-DR, Veeam, and TSM.
• Support storage migrations, technology refresh projects, and infrastructure lifecycle management.
• Monitor system health, perform root cause analysis, and resolve complex storage incidents.
• Collaborate with virtualization, networking, security, and application teams to deliver reliable infrastructure services.
• Automate operational tasks using Python and Bash scripting.
• Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and compliance standards.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of enterprise storage and infrastructure engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with NetApp ONTAP administration and troubleshooting.
• Advanced knowledge of SAN/NAS protocols, Fibre Channel, NFS, CIFS/SMB, and storage replication.
• Experience with VMware environments, Linux systems, backup solutions, and disaster recovery planning.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
