Wintel L3 Engineer – VMware Windows Active Directory Contract

We are seeking an experienced Wintel L3 Engineer with 10+ years of enterprise infrastructure experience and a proven track record of delivery as a contractor to support and manage on-premises Windows, VMware, and Active Directory environments. The role requires acting as an L3 escalation point, resolving complex technical issues, improving system reliability, and ensuring infrastructure availability, security, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer Windows Server environments, including installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Manage server lifecycle activities including provisioning, migration, and decommissioning.
• Support Certificate Authority (CA) services, Windows Clustering, Terminal Services, and hardware troubleshooting on HP/Dell platforms.
• Provide VMware administration including VM provisioning, snapshots, cloning, HA/DRS, migrations (P2V/V2V), cluster management, and capacity planning.
• Support vRanger backup operations and troubleshoot virtualization issues.
• Act as an L3 escalation point for Active Directory issues, including audits, health checks, replication, security hardening, RBAC, and access management.
• Perform incident resolution, root cause analysis, problem management, and change implementation within SLAs.
• Collaborate with local and global teams to deliver stable and secure infrastructure services.

Key Skills:
Strong expertise in Windows Server, VMware, Active Directory, clustering, certificates, and enterprise troubleshooting. Knowledge of storage, networking, firewall, and backup technologies is required. Experience in regulated financial services environments is preferred.
